We, behind the Jute Sack

Lahja ja Sisustus Juuttisäkki is a Finnish family business where we manufacture handmade bags, wool socks, accessories and interior design products in our own workshop in Satakunta. Each product is created by hand, with a love for materials and Finnish craft tradition.

I am Margit, the founder of Lahja ja Sisustus Juuttisäkki, and my heart beats for craftsmanship, domesticity and ecology. By my side is my mother Inga, whose hands have woven thousands of stories into rugs and textiles over the decades, and my husband Henri. Together we are a family business that designs and manufactures handmade bags, wool socks, accessories and interior design products in Finland.

Our home workshop is located in Satakunta, in the peaceful countryside of Panelia and amidst the forests of Huittisäkki. All Juuttisäkki products are handmade in Finland, close to nature, without mass production. Every bag, wool sock, accessory and interior design product is created with care and love, combining traditional craftsmanship and sustainable thinking.

We use sustainable and recycled materials in our manufacturing. We want to create products that last a long time and offer an ecological alternative to disposable culture. Each product is unique and made in a small scale, directly from the creator to the user.

Crafts are part of life and heritage

Crafts have been with me since childhood. I made leather bags in a family business when I was young, and entrepreneurship has been a part of my life from the beginning. Although I am a financial management professional by education, I am a craftsman at heart.

My mother Inga is a craftswoman with a capital K. Her decades of experience are evident in every rug, every stitch and every detail. This heritage, expertise and love for craftsmanship are at the heart of Juuttisäkki's operations.

Juttisäkki was born from the desire to preserve and continue the Finnish craft tradition and offer customers handmade, domestic products that have a maker and a story.
