Pieni pussukka -tee se itse ohje

Small pouch - do it yourself instructions

Make yourself a small pouch that you can put money or other small items in. You can also use the same method to make larger pouches for your projects. The finished size of the pouch in this pattern is 11 x 15 cm.

SUPPLIES:

  • Patterned fabric (preferably thick cotton)
  • zipper with lock, size 11 cm
  • sewing machine, needle and thread, scissors

Cut a piece of fabric measuring 15 x 33 cm and two smaller pieces measuring 4 x 4 cm. These small pieces will go on both ends of the zipper.

Sew fabric pieces to both ends of the zipper. Turn and sew a backing stitch.

At this point you can cut the fabric to the same width as the zipper.

Then sew the zipper to the fabric, right sides together.

Repeat the same for the other end of the fabric. Turn and sew a backing stitch next to the zipper.

Turn the bag so that it is right side out in your hand. Now sew both edges about 0.5 cm from the edge.

Turn the bag inside out and sew both edges about 1 cm from the edge.

Turn the bag right side out again and you're done. You've just made your first bag.
