Crocheted platform instruction
A crocheted base or base is perfect for sauna platforms as a base for a bowl, for a bench in an ice rink or on a table under a plate. Your imagination is the limit when using this platform!
The bottom is crocheted from cotton yarn. Cotton absorbs moisture well, but dries quickly.
In my own vessel, I used a thread with a thickness of 8/8. If you use a thinner thread, the base will be smaller, and with a thicker thread, it will be bigger. You can of course adjust the size, either by removing or adding layers to the work. In this instruction, the diameter of the vessel is approximately 36 cm.
Yarn consumption: 100 g
Crochet hook size: 5
1st row: create 16 sts in the magic loop. Close the round with sl st in the first st
2nd row: 2 sc (first p)+1 p in the same loop, 2 p in each loop = 32 sts.
3rd row: 2 ch + 1 sc in the first loop, * 1 ch + 2 sc in the next st* repeat ** until the end of the row and close the row with a sl st in the first column
4th row: 2 ch + 2 dc in the first loop, * 1 ch + 3 dc in the next st*, repeat **until the end of the layer and close the layer with a sl st in the first column
5th row: 2 ch + 3 sc in the first loop, * 1 ch + 4 sc in the next st*, repeat **until the end of the layer and close the layer with a sl st in the first column
6th row: 2 ch + 4 sc in the first loop, * 1 ch + 5 sc in the next st*, repeat **to the end of the layer and close the layer with a sl st in the first column
7th row: 2 ch + 5 sc in the first loop, * 1 ch + 6 sc in the next st*, repeat **until the end of the layer and close the layer with a sl st in the first column
8th row: 2 ch + 6 sc in the first loop, * 1 ch + 7 sc in the next st*, repeat **to the end of the layer and close the layer with a sl st in the first column
9 rows 2 ch + 7 sc in the first loop, * 1 ch + 8 sc in the next st*, repeat **until the end of the layer and close the layer with a sl st in the first column
10 rows: 2 ch + 8 sc in the first loop, * 1 ch + 9 sc in the next st*, repeat **to the end of the layer and close the layer with a sl st in the first column
11th row: 2 ch + 1 dc in each loop, but make 2 dc in the 1 ch. Close the layer with a sl st in the first column. Finish the work and press it straight.
If you want, you can decorate the edge with a gingerbread pattern, for example!
