Easy Christmas tree decoration
The Advent calendar door 3 is a quick and easy decoration for your Christmas tree. You can also give it as a gift or tie it onto a package as a decoration.
Supplies:
Yarn. You can use any yarn you like. The color and material is a matter of taste. I use a cotton and acrylic blend, the color is off-white.
Finishing needle
Scissors
Crochet hook according to the yarn . The hook size for the yarn in the pattern is size 4
Wooden ring . You can replace the wooden ring with any ring. You can even fold it out of pipe cress. The instructions use a wooden ring with a diameter of about 5 cm.
Wooden bead. You can replace the wooden bead with a glass bead, a string, or leave it out. This is also a matter of taste.
Start:
Crochet as many single crochet stitches around the ring of your choice as will fit in the ring. Leave the starting thread a little longer so you can tie a proper knot later. Tighten the stitches at intervals so that there is no empty space between them.
When you have crocheted around the entire ring, finish the thread. Pull the loop longer (about 10 cm). This will make a good hanging loop and thread the bead into it.
Thread a wooden bead into the loop you just created and tie tightly.
Next, add the tassel. Cut 11 pieces of yarn, each about 20 centimeters long. Take one piece of yarn and place it in the middle of the other yarns lengthwise. Tie the yarn tightly around the other yarns and fold the yarns in half. Then wrap the yarn that went across the "bundle" around again to make a long tassel.
Use the finishing needle to attach the tassel to the ornament. Voila! The ornament is ready!!
