Bohemian interior style

There are basically as many interior styles as there are decorators. The bohemian interior style is just one trend in that huge current.

The cornerstones of bohemian interior style are wood / rattan furniture and an insane amount of green plants. In boho interior design, nature is brought inside. You can add as many colors as you like to the bohemian interior, or you can stick to natural, minimalist colors.

Bohemian interior style

Bohemian interior design is a warm, natural interior design. The theme can be exotic patterns and objects, natural materials and also vintage.

Boho style has its own style trends. A style that favors light tones and natural materials is suitable for our more restrained Scandi. Linen, rattan, wood and handmade, even crocheted pillow covers belong to this trend like a fist to the eye.

Colors burst in the styles of warmer countries.

However, there are certain lines in the style trends, by following which you can create a bohemian interior in your home, either with bright or the most moderate colors. Rule number one: greens! There must be a lot of them and everywhere. Hang plants from the ceiling. Place them in layers of ampels or make flower tables. Place plants on the floor. The main rule is that you place them everywhere!

Remember to use different shades of green and multi-patterned leaves. The more the better.

As another main rule, bohemian interior includes wall hangings. Macrame has always been the number one brand for boho decorators, but other wall hangings are also suitable. Rugs, sheets, wall hangings. Anything goes, as long as there's something hanging on the walls.

Then we get a bamboo shade and a jute mat. A representative of a colorful style will buy a decent oriental rug if the money is enough, but you can get cheaper if you use, for example, rag rugs. You can find a selection of colors in many directions. In addition, you need to get a bed and rattan furniture. The material of the rug is often crocheted, but other natural materials such as leather and linen are also suitable for the purpose. Rattan furniture can be called with driftwood-looking wooden furniture. Wooden furniture is often more showy and heavier than rattan, but great!

Different shades of brown work always and in everything. Brown can appear in furniture, textiles or wall coverings. In addition to brown, invest in pillows. There must be a lot of pillows with different textures. Macrame, fringes, stripes and checks and sawn edges. A happy jumble of pillows in all colors and patterns. Remember to add tables and decorations and mood lights; candles, floor lamps, table lamps.

The bohemian style is of course crowned by the residents. The residents are always on the sofa, with a glass of wine in hand, reading a book. He wears woolen socks and if possible, his partner plays the guitar while the mood lights shine. So what else is needed?
